The Card Security Code is a 3-digit code that provides additional security for your credit card.
Flip your card over and look at the signature box. You should see your 16-digit credit card number printed there, followed by an additional three digits. These additional three digits are your Card Security Code.
We ask for this information to help prevent fraudulent use of your credit card. At this time, it is not required that you provide your Card Security Code, but we encourage you to do so. Although the Card Security Code is just beginning to be used in commerce, we expect it to become more common.
